Our Campaigns

Protecting important places through organised community action.

Future of Woolton campaigns are intended to bring people, evidence, partnerships and practical planning together when a valued community or heritage asset needs a stronger future.

Campaigning with purpose

A campaign should lead towards a practical solution.

Awareness is important, but our aim is to go further. Where Future of Woolton supports a campaign, we want to understand the problem properly, build the evidence, develop realistic options and work constructively with the organisations and professionals needed to move it forward.

That approach began with Save Woolton Baths and will help shape any future campaigns the organisation takes on.

Current position

Save Woolton Baths is currently Future of Woolton's first and only flagship campaign.

We will not create additional campaigns simply to expand the organisation. Future campaigns should be taken on only where there is a genuine need, a clear charitable purpose and enough capacity to manage them responsibly.

Save Woolton Baths

Long-term purpose

From concern to action

How we want campaigns to develop.

Every project will be different, but Future of Woolton will aim to follow a disciplined process rather than making commitments before the facts are known.

01

Identify the Need

Understand the community issue, asset or opportunity and establish whether Future of Woolton can create genuine charitable benefit.

02

Build the Evidence

Gather community support, factual evidence, professional input, costs, risks and information from relevant organisations or public bodies.

03

Develop the Route

Determine the appropriate legal, property, funding, partnership or delivery route before making commitments.

04

Mobilise Responsibly

Move into fundraising, delivery or restoration only when the necessary governance, permissions, controls and resources are in place.

Our campaign standards

Trust should be built into the campaign from the beginning.

Community-Led

Campaigns should be shaped by real community need, local knowledge and meaningful public benefit.

Evidence-Based

We will distinguish clearly between ambitions, estimates, discussions, offers, confirmed commitments and completed work.

Financially Responsible

We will not promote unsupported costs or launch major fundraising without appropriate controls and a clear purpose for the money raised.

Built for Sustainability

Saving an asset is not enough. We want viable plans for operation, maintenance, governance and long-term resilience.

Future campaigns

Save Woolton Baths is the beginning, not a limit on our future.

In future, Future of Woolton may support the protection or regeneration of other qualifying community and heritage assets where doing so falls within the charity's purposes and the organisation has sufficient capacity to take the work on responsibly.

No future campaign will be treated as committed until the trustees have considered its charitable benefit, risks, resources, responsibilities and impact on existing projects.

Have a community concern?

Future of Woolton should remain connected to the places and issues that matter to local people.

We may not be able to take on every issue, particularly while the organisation is being established, but we welcome constructive community contact.
